As I mentioned in the post for day 13, I wanted to skip the workout because I was going white water rafting. It was a pretty fun day overall.
I decided to sleep on the couch in the living room because I didn't feel like changing my alarm clock in the bedroom. So I set the alarm on my cell phone. My friend texted me at 1:30AM to wake him up, but I was pretty disoriented and thought my alarm went off. My first clue should've been that it was dark as hell.
My other friend called me at 7AM and I thought it was my alarm again. I was dozing in and out anyway so that was probably my best chance to wake up. Everyone else she called was still asleep. She just wanted to know what I was thinking about getting for lunch.
All the people gathered at around 9ish and we headed out to the road by 10. We got to the rafting place at around noon. Once we got in our boats we started using the bailing buckets to throw water at each other. I kept getting destroyed because I'm apparently a good target for a bucket of water.
There were four of us in our boat and we kept things pretty efficient. Most of the other rafts were pretty sloppy in their rowing and ended up going in circles because they couldn't coordinate. We ended up separating from the rest of the boats in our group so I couldn't really tell how they were doing. Me and my friend in the front just wanted to keep things efficient, stay injury free, and be the fastest boat out there. The two of us ran the spartan race a few weeks earlier, so our boat was the only one that was spartan powered.
When we stopped for lunch, somehow we parked on the shore perfectly in reverse. Pretty sure we just got skills. The rest of the ride was pretty quiet. Just rowing down the river. It was about 12 miles and took 6 hours. Fun was had by all. Another 2 hour ride back home.
Stay powerful people. (And amazing)
